These two life-size memorial figures honour Griffiths and Victoria Mxenge, the South African human-rights lawyers and activists assassinated in 1981 and 1985. Created in collaboration with fellow sculptor. For the House of Memory, the paired sculptures remember a couple whose courage and legal work left a lasting mark on the country's struggle for justice. The full-figure format presents each as a person of presence and action, giving their shared story a durable place within South Africa's public memory.
