This life-size figure of an Ndebele woman carrying wood was created as a private commission in 2022. The subject is drawn from an everyday act of labour, allowing the sculpture to honour ordinary human experience through a monumental format. The work also reflects Prinsloo’s stated interest in the language of the human body and its movements as a means of expressing shared humanity.
