PERPETUUM MOBILE Series

Abstract Torsos
A male and female torso stand as complementary studies of the human form, stripped of portrait identity and unnecessary detail. Their opposing gestures create a rhythmic dialogue between masculine and feminine anatomy, strength and softness, stability and movement. Expressive surfaces preserve the energy of the modelling process, allowing light to animate the bronze. Abstract Torsos celebrates the body not as a literal likeness, but as an enduring vessel of presence, character and shared humanity.

Splits
Extended across the horizontal plane, the female figure transforms an extreme physical pose into a composition of striking symmetry. Her outstretched legs create a broad, wing-like span, while the raised torso and face held between her hands introduce an unexpected mood of quiet contemplation. Splits balances flexibility and strength with stillness, revealing the disciplined control beneath a seemingly effortless pose and inviting the viewer to encounter athleticism as a form of sculptural grace.

Spiral Dancer
Poised on a single foot, the dancer unfolds into a dramatic upward extension. The lifted leg, bowed head and asymmetrical arms create a spiralling rhythm through the body, balancing explosive energy with exacting control. Although grounded at one small point, the figure appears to turn and rise beyond it. Spiral Dancer celebrates the discipline, flexibility and inner momentum through which physical strain is transformed into expressive freedom.

Sphinx
Crouched close to the ground, the male figure holds an alert, guarded stillness. His powerful limbs create a broad, compact structure, while the outward gaze suggests watchfulness and unresolved thought. The title evokes the ancient Sphinx - a keeper of mysteries and riddles - without relying on literal mythology. Sphinx presents the human body as an enigmatic presence, poised between action and restraint, physical strength and inward uncertainty.

Gaze Beyond Now
Standing upright with quiet assurance, the figure turns his head towards something beyond the viewer’s sight. His grounded stance conveys physical presence, while the lifted gaze introduces a sense of anticipation and possibility. Gaze Beyond Now reflects the human impulse to look past immediate circumstances towards an unknown future. The sculpture holds stillness and aspiration together, suggesting a moment of inner resolve before the next step is taken.

Ballet Dancer
Balanced lightly on one foot, the male dancer holds a moment of poised transition. The turned head, open arms and gently crossing legs create a flowing rhythm through the figure, while the defined musculature reveals the discipline beneath the apparent ease. The Ballet Dancer brings strength and grace into harmony, capturing the controlled tension through which rigorous physical effort is transformed into elegance, expression and seemingly effortless movement.
