This commissioned portrait bust honours Dr Esther Mahlangu and was created for Boleng Engineering. Mahlangu is internationally recognised as a South African artist and cultural ambassador, making the portrait a meeting point between individual likeness and wider cultural significance. The bust format gives the commission a formal, enduring presence while keeping the focus on the sitter.
