This portrait bust of Joseph Kabila - a Congolese politician and former military officer who was the fourth president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo from 2001 to 2019 - created in 2019 as part of a proposed larger project for the Democratic Republic of Congo. The wider proposal involved a life-size equestrian statue of Kabila, flanked by monumental tusks forming an Arc de la Democratie. The bust served as a portrait study and scale-related component within that projected public commission.
