This life-size memorial portrait bust of Mkhombo was commissioned through SAMCRO Memorials in 2021. The sculpture is a focused study of the sitter’s head and shoulders, created to preserve an individual likeness in a formal and enduring medium. It reflects Prinsloo’s experience in memorial portraiture, where careful observation and recognisable presence are central to the work.
