This portrait bust of Erika was created during André Prinsloo’s intensive two-week portrait-sculpture workshop in Rome in 2023. Working from a live model, the artist developed the bust through direct observation and practical engagement with the human form. The piece records both a portrait study and a period of focused professional development in the traditional discipline of portrait sculpture.
