Poised on one foot, the figure bursts into a spirited, birdlike dance. Raised knee, arched body and loosely extended arms capture a fleeting moment of exuberant movement, while the rough stone base heightens the contrast between weight and freedom. Expressively modelled and playfully theatrical, the sculpture celebrates uninhibited energy, balance and the sheer pleasure of moving.
